Alex, it seems you're very much loved here in this forum. I found your uploads quite interesting too, although I am only few years into Russian/Soviet films and have not know enough to really comment on it.

I have not found any commentary on this film, so I wonder if someone here can help. I loved for example Barber of Siberia - and many, many other Russian films of various genres, but I really disliked The Admiral and Brest Fortress - despite good budgets and great actors, both shallow and uninspiring films... How does this compare? Classic, or generic?
